Welcome!

I’ve always been creative – of sorts. I get that from my mom. She could create almost anything. Me? I can’t even draw stick figures! However, in my wildest dreams I could not have imagined when I first picked up a camera as a young adult I would have a website, thousands of images, artwork in 12 countries on 4 continents, countless art fairs and exhibits, and a handful of awards along the way. But that’s not my story… this is.  To witness creation and worship its Creator.  As you poke around my website I hope you not only see the beauty of creation, but also the beauty of the One who created it all.

You can find out a little bit more about me and my creative work sprinkled throughout the pages. If you’d like to know more send me a message via the form below.

I do hope you’ll stick around for a few minutes and enjoy the work in my galleries and visual blogs at the bottom of the page.

Oh, one last thing… you’ve probably noticed most of my photos the last few years are of birds with some butterflies thrown in. I have 5 bird galleries on the menu above and in 2022 I began a monthly blog where I record some of what I see. Just scroll down and you’ll see what I mean.

I have over 7,000 bird portraits of 150 species which includes; bluebird, cardinal, woodpeckers, goldfinch, hummingbird, blue jay, owl, warblers of all kind, wrens, titmouse, thrush, mockingbird, phoebe, tanager, oriole, fly catchers, birds of prey, and many others.

Buried Fossils

In between the sporadic bird activity yesterday, I was glancing down at the river rock in our hardscape and noticed a tiny fossil inside a golf ball sized rock that was split in two. I began to ponder for a moment, then came this...

The Story of the American Goldfinch

Recently while sitting out by our garden where I photograph summer birds I sat memorized by the playful activity of several goldfinches. The late after light and the various shadows and textures of the foreground and background made the images you see below.

The Land of Crimson Giants

Oh, Man! Am I excited about this image or what! Let me explain. The weather lately has been fantastic. With temps in the low 80s, sitting outside has been absolutely wonderful - whether I made any snaps or not. Yesterday was no exception. I had been sitting outside waiting for a hummer to show up, but now it was time for supper.

July 2024 Birds, Butterflies, Flora and Fauna

Hi, there! In the past I've posted thousands of bird portraits and snapshots each month - but not all I've captured. You can check them out in my 5 bird galleries on the menu and my monthly blog posts at the bottom of each page.

The Field of Unspoken Dreams

In a secluded corner of the countryside, where the meadows stretched endlessly under a glowing sky, lived two adventurous goldfinches named Finch and Fern. They were known throughout the woodland for their spirited flights and their curious nature that often led them to explore new horizons beyond the familiar fields.

Dread clawed at the Crimson Knight's heart. The once vibrant glow emanating from his crimson feathers flickered erratically. The old Graystone Meadow, usually a symphony of songs and rustling leaves, was eerily silent. Smoke, acrid and thick, clogged the air.

June 2024 Birds, Butterflies, Flora, and Fauna

The poster has historically shared thousands of bird photos monthly and houses them in galleries and blog posts. Going forward, they plan to be more selective, focusing on bird migration and summer residents in Missouri. High-resolution images are available for download for a small fee via the contact form.

May 2024 Birds

I have thousands of images of birds native to my area in Missouri. So, I'll probably focus more on migration and summer residents. But, who knows... for now I hope you enjoy the thousands of bird, butterfly, and landscape images I posted.
