Happenings

In the Fall of 2019 I retired from art fairs and most exhibitions. Occasionally, if the theme and opportunity is right, I’ll enter an exhibit. But for now, I look back and enjoy the numerous events I’ve been able to participate in. I also have many fond memories of the artists and patrons I’ve met over the decades. We appreciate your support!

Currently I’m chillin’ out back snapping a bird portrait or two while sipping ice tea. I’m not sure about new projects, except for some workshops – email me if you’re interested – and acting as juror and/or judge for local exhibits and fairs. (you can contact me about that, too)

Mosaics, St. Charles, MO Sept 15-17, 2019 – This is my last art fair! And, what better town than my hometown to retire from art fairs. It’s been a lot of fun, and we’ve met many wonderful people – both artists and patrons. I will still exhibit across the country and list those events here. So, to everyone who has supported us over the past few decades – thanks for the memories!

100 Years of Hurricane Data

After the recent devastation caused by hurricane Helene I started looking at some raw data on the NOAA website. I decided to download 100 years of data, put into a spreadsheet, then extrapolate the information. What I found was very interesting so I thought I'd share some of that data with you.

Flawless

A favorite song of mine is Flawless by MercyMe. I'll share the lyrics below. I always enjoy seeing a newly emerged butterfly from its cocoon. In essence they are "flawless." Not a mark on them. Such was the case today as I saw this tiger swallowtail blow through our garden.
