Design Ideas

Looking for some design ideas to spark your home or office decorating?

There can be many things to consider when looking for the right artwork to compliment your space, so I’ll just add a few here. The bottom line is – buy what you like! It’s your home/space so make it say – you!

Adding artwork to any space is not about one size/style fits all. I’ll just throw out a few things to consider.

  • Buy what you love!
  • Look for artwork you connect with or tells a story.
  • High visual contrast between artwork and its surrounding can help guide visual interest to various parts of your space.
  • Consider the substrate as part of the artwork selection. A modern environment may lend itself well to metal prints, and a more casual/rustic look may look well with artwork on canvas. We provide images on numerous substrates including, canvas, metal, acrylic, and various photographic papers matted and framed.
  • Color matters, but it’s not the end all be all. Complimentary and contrasting colors can both work.
  • Try incorporating a theme by using a collage of pieces.
  • Don’t think too small. Although most people do.
  • And, don’t forget, the only opinion that matters is yours!

If you see anything in my galleries that interest you, give me a shout. We’re here to help.

I'd love to hear from you.

100 Years of Hurricane Data

Flawless

A favorite song of mine is Flawless by MercyMe. I'll share the lyrics below. I always enjoy seeing a newly emerged butterfly from its cocoon. In essence they are "flawless." Not a mark on them. Such was the case today as I saw this tiger swallowtail blow through our garden.
