Healing Spaces

It is now well known that art aids in the healing process – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. (I won’t bore you with numerous studies and evidence based design practices.) Some of the benefits include:

  1. Reduced stress and anxiety
  2. Lower blood pressure
  3. Reduced need for pain medication
  4. Increased trust and confidence by patients
  5. Provides a positive attraction for patients, visitors, and staff
  6. While providing a calming influence on employees

The benefits of art are also found in public places and commercial spaces.

Could you simply go to a stock photo website and download a bunch of images – not knowing the artist, location, or details and location of the images? Sure! But why when you can source images from an artist you can get to know, and know the stories behind the images.

As you will see in my galleries, I have hundreds of images from here in the Midwest that can bring more than just aesthetics to your healthcare or commercial facility. All of my images tell a story. More importantly is the discovery of what you find in my photographs. We have witnessed and heard countless stories from people far and wide of the impact our artwork has had on their lives. And, just so you know, I, too, have been a first hand recipient of the healing aspects of art in numerous forms and media.

So, if you’d like to hear more about how we can help outfit your project, healthcare facility, or commercial space, give us a shout by using the Contact Form below.

Our hope is that you’ll bring a little needed healing into your life and neighborhood.

I'd love to hear from you.

100 Years of Hurricane Data

Flawless

A favorite song of mine is Flawless by MercyMe. I'll share the lyrics below. I always enjoy seeing a newly emerged butterfly from its cocoon. In essence they are "flawless." Not a mark on them. Such was the case today as I saw this tiger swallowtail blow through our garden.
