My friend “Flicker”
Hi, allow me to introduce myself. I’m a yellow shafted northern flicker. Yes, that’s a mouthful to say. So, my local friends just call me “Flicker.” As you can see, when I’m not feeding on ants (my favorite), or suet and seeds, I LOVE posing for photographs and showing off my golden coat and bright yellow under feathers. You can also tell me apart from female flickers because I have a black mustache.
So, keep your eyes peeled as I will be making some appearances throughout the rest of the winter. Oh, and if you’d like a portrait of me or any of my friends, please let this guy know. He has great prices and the quality is fabo! Ok, gotta go now. See you ’round!
