Christmas is just 10 days away. For many people this is a time to celebrate the Joy and Light that came into the world 2,000 years ago. For others, it may be a dark time – a reminder of loss. Maybe a family member or loved passed away and this will be the first Christmas without them. Yet others have experienced extreme hardship due to illness, Covid, job loss, financial hardship, or a marriage breakup. 2020 has been a difficult year to be sure. Darkness seems to invade every corner of society. But, as troubling as this year may have been, or may continue to be, Hope shines brighter than our darkness. Hope illumines. Hope encourages. Hope restores. And, yes, Hope wins! “And this Living Expression is the Light that bursts through gloom – the Light that darkness could not diminish!
