What I’ve learned since Covid started
Perhaps like you, I’ve spent a lot more time around the house since Covid began than before it all started. During this time I’ve tried to be productive and learn a few things while maintaining a proper perspective. And, while I don’t know what the future holds, I do know things will be different for awhile – perhaps a very long time. So, as this “season” of uncertainty lingers on, there are 3 things I am certain of: My life is His. He will never leave me or forsake me. And, one day this will be over.
So what has been happening?
– I’ve snapped 10,429 photos. Only a small fraction made it on my website or social media.
– I’ve learned a lot about the creation I’ve photographed. Perhaps even more about the One who created all things.
– I’ve learned that I really don’t control anything. (In reality I never have)
– I can safely say that I’m more lucky than good at my craft. People have commented that I must be a very patient person to capture my images – NOT! You’ve got the wrong guy. But, I am learning to slow down. Not everything has to be done this second.
– I watch less TV and spend more time outdoors.
– I started walking daily and lost a few pounds.
– My journal has become more honest. Like I could fool God anyway!
– My prayer more earnest.
– And, my worship more intimate.
I’m sure that’s just a fraction of real life, but it’s a start. I’m hoping to continue learning while on this journey.
So, what about you? I’d love to hear our story.
