Poetry in motion
While glassing birds and beautyflies (butterflies) in my backyard, I try to learn something new about their behavior instead of just snapping the shutter – if possible. I’ve been trying to capture beautyflies as they lift off a flower. These creatures are so erratic and unpredictable! Yesterday while watching this monarch I thought he may lift off backwards due to the surrounding foliage. I got lucky and timed it about right to get three rapid snaps. Then all I had to do was sandwich the photos together. I thought it turned out okay.
