Andscape or Landscape?
No, that’s not a typo. And, I know it just may be semantics to some, but to me it’s something deeper. If photography was simply the capture of light on film or a digital sensor, I’d have given up long ago. In order for me to bring meaning into my various “scapes” I try to find that something extra. (You can read more about that here.) In other words, it’s the AND part of the scape that makes the image for me. It may be the meaning or metaphor behind the image, or something totally different. But, it goes beyond the visual aesthetics.
In the case of this recent image, I see so much more than colored pixels on a screen, I see an AndscapeTM. How about you?
