Leaving – the backstory

The title of this image is Leaving – which may seem obvious, but it’s for another reason I titled it so.

The apostle Paul wrote to the church in Phillipi, “Brothers and sisters, as I said, I know I have not arrived; but there’s one thing I am doing: I’m leaving my old life behind, putting everything on the line for this mission.”

Now, what do you need to leave behind that’s holding you back?

About the image

The image was captured in my backyard last winter. A small shaft of light was poking through the trees which lit up a portion of the composition while the rest was shadowed. This created a beautiful dynamic between the warm tones of the early morning light and the cool tones of the shadows.

This image is available for purchase on various substrates.

I'd love to hear from you.
