4th Quarter 2024 Birds, Etc.
Hi, there! In the past I’ve posted thousands of bird portraits and snapshots – but not all I’ve captured. You can check them out in my 5 bird galleries on the menu and my monthly blog posts at the bottom of each page.
I have over 7,000 bird portraits of 150 species which includes; bluebird, cardinal, woodpeckers, goldfinch, hummingbird, blue jay, owl, warblers of all kind, wrens, titmouse, thrush, mockingbird, phoebe, tanager, oriole, fly catchers, birds of prey, and many others.
Going forward I’m probably going to be more selective. I have thousands of images of birds (and butterflies) native to my area in Missouri. So, I’ll probably focus more on migration and summer residents. But, who knows… for now I hope you enjoy the thousands of bird, butterfly, and landscape images I posted. Beginning this month – October – I’m going to make quarterly bird posts versus monthly posts like I have for the past two plus years.
On October 26th I had a rare lifer – the Leconte’s sparrow. They breed in Canada and live among the tall grasses foraging for seeds and rarely make an appearance. So, yes, I’m extremely giddy. I’ve included a few pics below. ( If you click on the image most birds pictured are labeled.) In November I added another lifer – the Hermit thrush.
If you’d like to download any high resolution image(s) for a small fee for your own use/printing please let me know via the contact form and I’ll get back with you asap with the nominal cost.
