On The Forgotten Art of Lament
As a Christian people we have forgotten, or never really understood, the art of lament. So here are my thoughts.
Seasons of lament are lost on us today,
We breeze through life with aimless thoughts,
A careless dance through sorrow’s fray.
No time to ponder, no time to pause,
Just fleeting moments, just because.
We’ve traded depth for shallow seas,
And soulful sighs for carefree ease.
The weight of loss, a distant plea,
Forgotten echoes, between you and me.
