It’s a wonderful life!
We recently took a short 3 day trip to southeastern/central Iowa. We’ve been up there several times in the past few years as we enjoy the slower pace of life, rural landscapes, and it’s less than a one tank drive to get there. We especially enjoy tooling around the country roads dotted with farms. One particular area is Kalona. Many Amish live and farm here. We have a great respect for their traditions, hard work, and quality goods. And, they’re a friendly bunch – although somewhat reserved, and we get that.
Besides bringing back some of their goods, we also brought back some memories that will last until we make our next trip and a few photos. I hope you enjoy them. And, if you’re ever wanting to kick back for an enjoyable drive though the country give SE Iowa a try. You won’t be disappointed.
If you’re interested in any of these images, please let me know. The are available in various substrates. (They look great in matte metal prints. I have three of them hanging in my kitchen.)
