Why? Without it life would be very dull and we’d regress as a society. Think about the people and industries that art doesn’t touch. Oh, wait, I can’t think of any, can you! That’s right – art, or creativity, touches every aspect of our daily lives. And, it will be the artists and craftspeople who lead the next economic recovery. If you are a leader of any type, it’s important for you to understand how to unleash the creative energy of those you lead.

What’s involved? All it takes is an invitation and I’ll be on my may bringing my art, passion, and sense of humor tempered with a dose of reality to speak into lives through the use of visual metaphors.

My passion is to help others see. By using visual metaphors I’ll share the stories behind
my artwork while encouraging others to sharpen their focus and vision to “see” the world around them. You’ll have an opportunity to see first hand how art, faith, beauty, and
action collide!

“Still-life”, is somewhat of a mixed metaphor because life in our society today is anything but still. And, I think that’s tragic. Sometimes we need that stillness in our lives to help us slowdown and adjust to the speed of life around us. It’s in that stillness – kind of like a slow motion video where time has been compressed – that we can absorb so much more of life going on around us.

The composition also suggests that stillness shouldn’t be complicated. Rather, it should be – simple. In other words, you have to get rid of the junk if you ever want to practice a still life.
